Throwback Thursday: Bride arriving

 Most AMAZING day ever!!!
This was on my Wedding day last year (03.08.13) with my dad and maid of honor, making my way into church. I was so nervous that I couldn't look straight ahead..
My beloved dress is now hanging in a closet reminiscing when it will be worn again...

Do you want to see a tbt every week?
I would love to see yours..:)

Hi lovelies,

I couldn't help drooling over these amazing finds online, too much so that I have created a April Wishlist already !

Where do I start...

1. Sheer white panel blouse from Zara
2. Rebecca Minkoff leather mini M.A.C
3. Sunny yellow blazer from Zara
4. Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Color

I better save up my pennies as this Wishlist is definitely brainwashed me to get at least 1 or 2 things...or all of them :)

What's in your Wishlist?

Spring 2014 Fashion Trends

Are you inspired to style and plan your outfits for Spring?

Here are my ideas and suggestions on what's HOT right now!

The 6 most wearable fashion trends for Spring 2014

  • Pretty Pastels

Pastels come out every year. A rainbow of spring goodness that would complement so many skin tones. From lovely pale pinks, to minty greens and baby blues!
The sky's the limit on how pastel-happy you want to get.

  • Boxy and cropped tops
The boxy, cropped silhouette can come in numerous prints and textures, basically what tickles your fancy! This trend can easily be worn from day to night. Pair them with denim, skirts, shorts you name it and your good to go.
Go on.. show of that midriff ;)

  • Wide Leg trouser
I must confess i haven't had the courage to pull off this trend. My kinda trouser is skinny and fitted.
Wide-leg trousers are really easy to wear and really made a big show on the Spring runways.
No, this trend is not just for 6 ft ladies, just look for a pair thats leaner the flare and higher waisted so that it elongates your frame.

  • Cool Bomber jackets
Have your outfit edgy with a sporty feel and go all the way out with funky prints, textures and details. Instead of a blazer, why not go for a bomber. Spice up your wardrobe!

  • Tea - Length skirts
The Midi-skirt is still an ongoing trend but the tea length is between a midi and a maxi. These skirts can be very lady like and if you pair it with a crop top it will make you look taller! Very on trend tea length dresses look so elegant but try to keep the arms bare to make it modern and sexy

  • Collarless coats
After pastels this is another favourite of mine. This is a strong  spring layering piece and you can always go safe with a solid or neutral color but take a risk with fun prints! The piece works with dressy trousers or a pencil skirt for the office.

Another frequent trend is the Minimal trend. Its effortless chic with minimal touches where the outfits are clean and crisp and no need for over accessorising. A picture perfect attire!

What trend are you loving at the moment?

KIKO Make Up Milano H.A.U.L

Hello, lovelies

I have for you a makeup haul!…

I was in Portugal not to long ago for my mothers funeral and my bestest most awesome  sister in law bought these lovely bits from Kiko for me. I was in such a low mood after the funeral, that this actually cheered me up and took my mind of things.

I have never visited Kiko here in London but i do know that its massive in Portugal and anything Italian sounds posh, don't you think?…
I am so impressed with everything including quality, packaging, looks ad price..! this is a rarity for me to find love straight away for a make-up brand.

I have used the makeup already so excuse the grubby makeup marks on the packaging..sorry i couldn't resist ;p

Doesn't the packaging look similar to another makeup brand? MAC

Heres a more in depth review on what i got!

Glossy Eye Pencil

Did i need another eyeliner? the answer is No but this one stood out to me.
I am always in the look out for that amazing pencil and i can say this is now one of my favourites. The quality is really good, glides on very smoothly and its a true black. The pencil comes with a smudge brush and this totally gives you that smokey sexy eye! It really makes my eyes pop!

Unforgettable Waterproof Mascara

I never owned a waterproof mascara but i really needed one due to  crying so much since mum passed. Not much i can say about a mascara as it does its job. Its not giving me the massive fake curl i love but i think thats because its still new and i still need to give it more love. I can see myself wearing this a lot for the summer, especially when going to the beach and not wanted to look bare-faced.

Full Coverage Concealer

I am always on the hunt for the perfect concealer that matches me perfectly and hides all my flaws and my horrible bags. This concealer would be a great dupe for MAC's studio finish concealer. MAC - £15 KIKO - £7.50
Its really amazing..seriously it totally does what it says 'full converge'. I can't forget the added bonus of the mirror.. the studio finish comes with a silly plastic that has actually come loose already.

Bronzing Powder

Sun is finally shining and my bronzers are coming out more often. I always have to go and check out the bronzers in make-up shops and this one truly stood out. Its a matt bronzer and gives me in my opinion the best colour for my skin colour. It really feels light to touch and it gives you a pretty glow. Packaging is a bonus, has same texture like NARS - soft to touch, but downside is that grubby foundation hands leaves marks and always needs a good clean after use. Also has a really good mirror, this is such a perfect compact for my makeup bag!

Kiss Balm in Apricot

I had just about chosen everything that i wanted and then i realised these lovely looking balms by the cash desk. Its a flavoured natural looking balm that gives a natural finish to the lips. This colour stood out to me as 1. looked to be the most popular and 2. its flavoured!
And its meant to make your lips look more kissable!!

Have you tried anything from KIKO? Whats your thoughts?

Lost my mum to Cancer

A year ago i heard the words i never wanted to hear
" Your mum's cancer is terminal"..these words couldn't be true!

My mum was my best friend my everything! I would tell her all my secrets and dreams. She always knew what was right for me and sorted out all my worries and problems. I thought God wouldn't take her, that this whole year was just a lesson and that she would be healed and all my prayers would be heard.

Months ticked by and i would cherish every moment with her. The sound of her laughter gave me the power to keep strong. Its true what they say that you can never truly understand the feeling until it happens to you, its as if the sky has fallen down on you.

My mum carried me for 9 months, gave birth to me, was the sight i first set my eyes upon. She was always there for me, all my memories she is always in them. She was the most wonderful woman i ever known.

I was crying for a miracle every day. Minutes, hours, days and months slipping by so quickly. On the last few days i could feel her slipping, she was getting worse and slipping away from being my incapable mum. I kept waking in the night to hear her breathing, as the space between her breaths grew longer and longer.

She was 52, i am 26. Nothing prepared me for her loss, even knowing she would die. 26th of February 2014 will be a date i will never forget. I was with her until her last breath, her last fight whilst i kept reassuring her that everything will be ok and she didn't have to worry about a thing.

A mother after all is your entry into life and not having her in my life is like not having oxygen to breath!
Grief, is a hard word to come across. My mind keeps getting flooded with memories, even more so as days go by. Facing reality without her is so very hard and this is something i need to wake up and face reality.
If it wasn't for my family and friends around me i think i would of shut down completely.

Now, i want to tell you all…. you only have one mum, cherish every moment with her, breath what she breathes and live what she lives.

I have lost my mum but i know she will always be looking down on me and follow my every step in life.
